The Gum Wall ORIGINAL
$300.00
ORIGINAL Artwork
Location: Seattle, Washington
The original pen and ink sketch, which I personally removed from my sketchbook, trimmed the edges, and float mounted in a natural wood frame.
The Gum Wall in Post Alley is one of Seattle’s most unusual landmarks. Most records point to the wall starting in the early 1900’s as people waited in line for shows they would stick their gum to the walls. Now this was has become one of the largest collective artworks with 100s of people adding gum to the wall each day.
I began this piece standing in the alley sketching between groups of tourists passing by, adding their own piece of gum and laughing as they pose pretending to lick the wall.
The Gum Wall was hand-drawn with a black ink pen and water in a moleskin sketchbook.
The drawing is 4.5″x7.5″ and float mounted in an 11″x14″ frame.
A hand-signed Certificate of Authenticity is included in the back of the frame.
I handle shipments with great care. Artwork is securely packaged and ready to be shipped in 5-7 business days.
