The original pen and ink sketch, which I personally removed from my sketchbook, trimmed the edges, and float mounted in a natural wood frame.

Ballard Coffee Works is an anchor along Market Street in the heart of Ballard. On this rainy afternoon, I met a friend and we spent the day drawing our surroundings. With this piece, I tried to capture the cozy feeling of spending time in an urban coffee shop. There is something so unique about sitting in one spot and watching the world go by with people coming and going. As I was drawing, the sun began to set and the view outside began to recede into lights from surrounding cars and buildings.

Ballard Coffee Works was hand-drawn with a black ink pen and water in a moleskin sketchbook.

A hand-signed Certificate of Authenticity is included in the back of the frame.
